"Aura of the Celtic Harp" CD Recording
This professional recording of my solo Celtic harp features 16 of my original arrangements of traditional Celtic tunes, ranging from lively jigs and reels to plaintive ballads and aires. You will definitely find something to enjoy in this album!
This was recorded on a 30-string harp I had for years that was handmade by Dave Proven in Manitoba, Canada, with my designs lovingly painted by his daughter. Dave also made the sweet little 22-string harp that first sold me on playing the harp, and that I learned on for several years. A friend in Alberta, Bruce Rawling, was my recording engineer during the summer of 2011, and I created the artwork for the jacket from my own photography. So this recording was made with much love and excitement, and I am pleased to be able to offer it to you to enjoy.

I hope to eventually record a Celtic Christmas CD but I have to find the funds first. :) Until then, here are a couple rough home recordings from years back:
"The Aran Boat." This traditional Irish tune was one of the first I learned, and certainly the first song I ever recorded, and it has remained one of my favorites. It was recorded my second year at Briercrest college to help a friend's recording assignment. I arranged and performed all instrumentation.
"The Coming of the King" is the only song I've ever written and composed, a LOTR-inspired piece about the King who will one day return to this world of shadow to set things right. "For in all lands of drought and death, and filled with shadows grey, He delights to stride forth in might with piercing light to drive night away." This is just a rough home recording, with all instruments arranged and performed by me.
"I Love You Lord" by Laurie Kline. Like her, I was in a period of darkness and doubt when I created this rendition, trying to express what lay in the most inner depths of my heart, hidden under the turmoil and pain. My voice is my weakest link musically, but here I am with what I have.
